Founded in 1984, through a relentless focus to deliver value to customers, Uniserve has become synonymous with quality, reliability and innovation, all delivered at the lowest possible cost. This, allied with continuous investment, has allowed Uniserve to grow and become the UK’s largest privately owned logistics and global trade management provider.

Uniserve is a diverse business, driven by a desire to add value to our core market; namely UK retail supply chains. The business has grown to encompass various complimentary services, all through the recognition of the value we add to the sector through our understanding of the demands of the specific industry.

Today the company employs over 500 people in the UK, and many more around the globe. Our commitment to continuous improvement is not just aimed towards our own staff, but also towards our profession as a whole. This is evidenced through the recently established, open architectured, Supply Chain Academy, our new headquarters in Upminster.

Officially opened in September 2012, this first-of-its-kind facility is solely funded by the Uniserve Group, but operates independently. Our vision is to support British industry, not only through the development of high level practice in individuals, but also to unify capabilities across various companies in the field of supply chain, procurement, planning, manufacturing, logistics and selling.

Many of the most progressive UK retail, logistics and infrastructure companies, including Marks & Spencer, Ann Summers, and DP World, have already benefited from the facility, as it has become a cornerstone of customers on-going training programs and a benchmark for others to follow when it comes to supply chain learning and education.

Financial Strength

As a private company we enjoy impressive financial strength and stability, which enables us to deliver an assertive strategic vision through acquisitions, global equity partnerships, investment in forward thinking supply chain technologies, facilities, and above all; people.

Examples of this vision are the establishment of the Supply Chain Academy following a £10 million investment, an on-going multi-mllion pound investment into our cutting edge One World technology platform and our recent £110 million investment in world-class port centric assets at the port of Felixstowe.

The Uniserve Group remains 100% owned and lead by its founder, Iain Liddell, and carries considerable cash reserves and paid up assets. These assets are continually reinvested into the businesses as we seek to strengthen our core retail-orientated activities and broaden our service base.

Market Share

Uniserve are proud to be servicing in excess of 2,000 UK based supply chain customers. Specifically in the retail supply chain sector, we define our market share based on the British Retail Consortium of which we are associated members. Through to the end of 2015 we were reported to hold a 16% market share.

In terms of our standing across freight in general; Uniserve are recognised to be one of the very top ocean, road and air freight operators in the UK by volume.
